Is this issue with default eyes normal?

Whenever I try to have default replacement eyes in my game, it works great at first!

However, when a sim ages up, or gets changed in any other significant way (gender switch, etc), their eyes get reset to the default brown. And when I go to change that, the eye color menu isn't showing up at all. I would have to remove the defaults for a bit to change anything I want before putting the defaults back in.

Is this normal for people using default replacement eyes?
And if not, how do I fix this?

Are you placing more than 1 set of defaults in your game at a time?

As in default eyes? Nope. Only one set at a time.

I do have a default skin, though, but I don't see why that would conflict.
  • Is it happening with a certain set or is it every set you try? Try using eyes by a different creator. It could just be the set you are using are borked.
  • Aw, dangit. I'd rather try to fix whatever's broken with them instead; I'm a little picky and I finally found something I actually liked.

Thanks, though! I might find another set and just replace the textures.
