Items disappearing

Several items keep disappearing - cooked items disappear from the fridge, purchased books disappear from bookshelves, homework disappears from the personal inventory.
This happens during gameplay not just when you load in, I've had to purchase books constantly during the same lot. 
It's been happening for about a month.
