So my game just updated now and I went in to play, and I have noticed that the time goes way slower, which I like. However, I also noticed that Sims will now take absolute ages to do anything, if they do it at all. Example: I wanted my Sim to put laundry from the hamper into the machine, the action showed up in the queue, but my Sim just stood there for about 3.5 Sim hours until I hit reset object. My teen SIm took 5-ish hours to finish her homework. All household Sims were supposed to return from School/work at 3pm as usual. They were all still in school/work by 4pm. I had that too when mods are enabled but not when disabled so it had to be a mod, I'm pretty confident it was MCCC, after I updated that mod response times and basically everything came back to normal, except for one thing: Sims now take showers all the time! Like they are just out of the shower and they want to go again. Anyway, try updating MCCC, it worked for me.

@kiiimmm13 Having the same issue. The 2nd patch just now didn't fix it either. Never had this bad simulation lag ever in the game. But I'm playing with some CC, so I can't tell yet if it's the game or the mods

@kiiimmm13 @LunaticVariant Please remove your Mods folder to test (and delete localthumbcache). Many, many changes were made that affect mods.

I've noticed that too, so i removed all mods to test it out and i can see that MCC could be the potential issue to that.

No MCC mod my sims run as normal speed.

I think my problem is with [adult mod edited out]. I've gone through my mods and everything works until I have the [adult mod edited out] ones in my mod folder. I haven't seen an updated version for this yet to resolve the aggravating Sims 4 update from this morning ( December).

I've updated the game like 4 hours ago and it keeps crashing. My sims would refuse to do anything, and if they apparently do something – it takes them A FEW GAME HOURS to finish some simple task like washing their hands. They also became too autonomous. All the NPCs act completely normal and everything seems to be fine. I tried reloading game for a few times and cleared the cache – none of that seems to be helping.

@missbeliever If you have script mods at all, they could be causing lag right now if outdated. Please see Broken/Updated Mods .

Watch your Sims when they go to shower. I think you may be having the same issue I am where they go to bathe (or sleep) and enter the tub/shower/bed and then spawn beside it without completing the task.
