    I had that too when mods are enabled but not when disabled so it had to be a mod, I'm pretty confident it was MCCC, after I updated that mod response times and basically everything came back to normal, except for one thing: Sims now take showers all the time! Like they are just out of the shower and they want to go again. Anyway, try updating MCCC, it worked for me.

Does anyone has the same problem on updating the sims 4 lagging?4.12.2023 update i think.

    ive taken all my mods and CC out, aswell as any tray stuff I have, can't find the 'localthumbscache' file either. my sim is still taking ages to do stuff and wont respond to me editing the queue. I tried cancelling the task they were doing , nothing! They just don't move! I tried with a new household aswell

      @BitterPearlCos Localthumbcache is a file in Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you use mods and CC, you need to know about this one because you need to delete it anytime you remove content from Mods.

      What happens in a new save? For the new household, was it on a different lot? Ideally a lot that comes with the game, not one created by you or from the Gallery.
