lighting mod removed dlc from game (macbook)

i installed a lighting mod by softerhaze into my game and my game had been loading up fine, but it wasn't recognizing that i have my dlcs installed. my game was saying i own the packs but they're not installed. im on mac, and the creator gave instructions on how mac users can add the game to the applications folder in finder. when i did that i noticed a separate folder pop up saying sims 4 packs. could that be why my dlcs aren't showing up? bc im fairly certain i followed the instructions the creator provided correctly. i'm not sure what to do past that so that my dlcs are in tact after installing the lighting mod into my game. as of now, i've totally uninstalled my game and backed up my save file and mods folder, but i really need some help for my try!!

  • When the game gets an update, you have to reinstall lighting mods. Be sure that you're not trying to install the world file for packs you don't own and that you do install all the ones for packs you do own. It might be a good idea to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game (a Game Repair in the EA App should do the same thing in terms of removing the lighting mod files), then making sure you see all your DLC, then redoing the lighting mod installation. Softerhaze's instructions are quite detailed.
