looking for a mod

I don’t know about a mod, but you could put in the ‘testingcheats true’ cheat then shift-click your sim and follow this path:
Pack Cheats > Expansion Packs > EP06 - Get Famous > Public Image > Remove Fame Quirk

You can also add quirks that way, too. ?

You don't need a mod, simply have your Sim purchase the Quirk-B-Gone potion from their aspiration menu. Works like a champ.
