Matchmaking_service 'NoneType' Error

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time I launch the game
What is your current game version number? 1.108.335.1020-1.300.000.188.Release
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? I have a ton of expansion packs, stuff packs, etc. (Too many to name) I believe this error relates to the Lovestruck Expansion pack.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Simply open the game. (I use Better Exceptions in order to get the error message)
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing seems to occur, I simply get a pop-up from Better Exceptions saying there has been an error, and then the report gives me the following error message: [manus] matchmaking_service failed to handle on_all_households_and_sim_infos_loaded due to exception (AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'manager')

What do you expect to see? I expect the error message to not appear.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes, however, it only started happening after I downloaded Lovestruck. I do not believe CC is the issue.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Latest patch; added Lovestruck.

@Vampiiriic Sooo, when I tested vanilla I tested on a new save, no problems occurred. Testing now on my original save, the problem continues. We’re on the same boat, pal…

It appears that your old save is permanently damaged. Broken mods and CC can do that.

@Vampiiriic Please try this test:

Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.

Launch Sims 4

Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game.

If it works, copy your mods back into the Mods folder (but not the old Resource.cfg file) and test again.

@luthienrising I did that, but it still didn't work... I'm guessing the save got corrupted for good.

@pnunesss Odd discovery, but if you go into your save file (like go to play) then exit to main menu WITHOUT saying, you will not get the error message when you start up the save again.
