MCCC life span bug?

So, I looked around for a while but didn't find anything related to the problem I have.
I'm using MCCC since, well, several years to be exact. Never had any issues with it. Now I experience a bug relating the auto aging of my pets. Yes, I have auto aging activated and my MCCC also tells me that my puppy is at "6/5 days of aging", still it doesn't age up. Also, I can't age it up myself with cheats, only when I change its age in CAS. When I removed MCCC from my mods folder, it immediately aged up by itself. So I decided to just reinstall MCCC, which worked until I readjusted my settings regarding the life span's again. After that, same problem. I play only with normal lifespans. So I reset the life span's to default settings again, doesn't seem to fix the problem though. My idea for fixing it rn is: reinstall MCCC again, don't touch the life span options and hope for the best. But I really am confused that no one else seems to experience this problem? Is it a known bug or something? Any way to fix it or am I doing something wrong?

  • @AkikoSenpai I haven't seen this reported as an issue with MCCC in the mod's support server. Do you have any other mods that might be conflicting with MCCC? It might be worth checking with just MCCC - removing a mod doesn't always mean that's the mod that was the problem. Look especially for any old mods you might have that were meant to fix an aging issue with pets; there was a bug about puppies not auto-aging but it was patched in 2021. And make sure your version of MCCC is the current one, too.

@luthienrising I am pretty sure I never installed any mod related to aging/lifespans except MCCC...but I will check anyway. Just for clarification: if there would be a mod conflicting with MCCC, it'd also be a script mod, right? Makes it easier to sort out. Also, since I just downloaded the newest version of MCCC today when trying to fix the problem, I am 100% sure that it's the current version.

@AkikoSenpai Simulation Lag Fix conflicts with MCCC's Game Time Setting option (I was just noting that for someone else). Typically it's going to be a conflict with a setting. And no, it doesn't have to be a script mods; package mods can conflict with other mods as well.

I would be hesitant to make any assumptions of what an outdated mod might do in combination with another one, or what a mod might break that it doesn't seem like it should. If you're testing for this issue on the previous version of your save, I'd do it by addition rather than subtraction, making MCCC the first mod you put in.
