Missing households

I've made 2 households and I've been playing them for a while, and then a few days ago I spent hours trying to find them. I looked in manage households, in manage worlds, in load game, I looked everywhere. I can't seem to find them and I really loved those 2 households and now they're gone. I don't know what to do so please help! I've also went to gallery for these households and once I clicked on the pictures, they say cannot place household in this game mode. But, I don't want to merge households, I just want it back separately as it was!

    Both MCCC and UI cheats are free mods which you can download. You can search deaderpool mccc and I believe the creator of UI cheats is called something like weerbesu.

    MCCC can be a little confusing to get into but there is a dedicated discord that you can use to ask for help on specific things which should be linked on the website for the MCCC download.

    UI cheats allows you to edit statistics like skills, relationships, and allow you to immediatly complete tasks (eg an aspiration goal or daily career task) by right clicking on the bar (for relationships) or the dialogue box of the task etc.

    Do you have backups of your saves? Have you tried recovering previous versions of the saved from the load game menu? Each save usually has 4 previous versions saved so you can return to a previous point if you have an issue

    Have you moved your game files recently? for example to a new computer/laptop? I did that and forgot to save my tray files and lost everything in my gallery. Things like saves and your gallery files are only kept locally

    If you check your electronic arts folder, in sims 4 there should be a saves folder. If there is nothing inside it, check if you have accidentally deleted/misplaced your saves somehow. I think they usually have "Slot" in the name so try searching your C drive for that.

    This is really strange I'm not really sure what's happened. Usually when you try to delete a save ingame it should give you a warning so its unlikely that they'll be accidentally deleted.

    @SianAF148 No, I've been playing with the same laptop since I started both households. And I pretty much still have pictures of the households in my gallery. I was wondering if I made a new sim with the same house and all, then go to my gallery and merge one of my missing households into the new sim's household, then do whatever with the new sim. Would that work, or not?

    Technically yes but you would have to cheat back all of the progress, relationships, skills etc if the version you have in the gallery was made just as you created them. MCCC and UIcheats are helpful for cheating lost progress.
