Mod & Sims 4

Just wanted to say, that w/o Mods, I seriously do not think after 17 years I would still be playing this game, because let's face it, EA releases the game or EP with glaring problems, the latest, TS4 Pets... Great EP, but w/o mods no control over the pets at all.. Really EA? TS3 had full control and it was wonderful, I can't really play TS3 anymore, Windows 10 and the Fall update really don't play nice with that game.. Back to TS4, some big mods Everyone needs are "Always Testingcheats On" that does save a ton of time for people who like to have complete control over their sims/pets.. MTS_ArtUrlWWW_MegaMod is another life saver... You can do just about anything you want with this mod.. Https://Patreon.com/posts/15763077

Almost forgot, the City Living EP was great, worth $40? eh, yes & No... My Main issue, No elevators to freely place on ANY LOT, without having to do anything other than use Build mode. TS3 once again did elevators right, who works at Maxis/EA/Sims Studio? Do you guys/gals not remember what made TS3 legendary? I can look past the loading screens to go anywhere stuff, I just want elevators everywhere, maybe even add ladders/poles like TS3 had..

  • The fully uncontrollable pets has to be the most frustrating thing to me. imho, I found it a little disappointing.

  • Yes and they are not consistent with adding packs. Like for sims 4 they had seasons and university life and so far in sims 4 they have not attempted to release packs for those themes, even though they are well liked. Many things that people like, they either don't continue in the next game or they make a downgraded version. The mod community has really improved the likeability of the sims

I logged about 100 hours before I started adding mods and cc to my game. Better than most "casual games" which usually max out at about 48 hours of gameplay (some of my favorite casual games are the offline hidden object story games - the online hidden object games repeat the same scenes too often), but nowhere as stellar as the rest of the series. Mods and cc add new things to do between releases of new packs.
In my opinion, the plethora of custom content available is what made Sims 1 such a hit...it was easy to make custom content for that game since it wasn't true 3d, and there were tools provided by Maxis to make your own custom paintings, new Sims heads, and custom walls and floors while the official TS1 site was still up (CTO Sims used to also have these available until the site went down). I've used custom content for EVERY game in the series, because the interior decorator in me demands more colors and options, as well as objects that aren't included in the official game or EPs.
