@xosimplygrace Maybe read the info on the first page on what is known about this issue.
Unfortunately, I don't have any solutions for the actual problem. I'm trying to get saves to find the cause and what to do but if it's too complicated, let's just try something else.
Few questions for you
1. Have you been using a certain adult mod that can't be named here ?
2. Are you using custom default skins ?
3. Did you make a backup or just remove the mods ?
There are automatic backups and if you feel confident enough, you can try of any of those till work: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/save-games/#wiederherstellen - 7 years ago@crinrict 1. yes
2. no
3. i have a folder of mods that i remove from my files before each update, even this one, i have taken ALL mods out and launched the game and im still having this issue so for me, its not a mod issue, i just updated all my mods yesterday while the game was updating too, so every mod i have is up to date - 7 years ago@crinrict i cant back up my save when ive only ever had one

Did you put the updated version of that adult mod back ?
Maybe if you do, that gets rid of the issue.
- 7 years ago@crinrict i have tried putting my mods back in and it still gives the same error
- crinrict7 years agoHero+@xosimplygrace You say you don't have any backups but when you look at that saves folder (the content), do you have any with .ver0 to .ver4 ? Those are automatic backups and the link I gave you describes how you can recover them.
If you do, make sure you have the updated mods back in your mods folder, turn mods/script mods on and try with the recovered files.
Do make sure to make a copy of your user folder and copy that to the desktop beforehand. - 7 years ago@crinrict OMG!! i recovered my save and it worked!! so maybe my original save was corrupt, could i delete that one and play my recovered save file?
- crinrict7 years agoHero+@xosimplygrace You totally can. It's probably not as far, you'll loose some progress but better than nothing, right ?

I have identified my glitch cause of an outdated version of Meaningful Stories and perhaps an outdated version of a certain mod. I know, however, that this may not be the case with other users, but I can provide no further suspicions. I wish you best of luck.
- crinrict7 years agoHero+@MakThePrince Meaningful Stories is def causing this. The other mod coul be, always been my top suspicion but who knows . Since I can't list it anyways, it doesn't matter too much though
