[MOD RELATED] Sims disappeared from household/Blue flashing square on map

@azgl3 This issue is caused by outdated mods but unfortunately, if you save your game in that state, saves get permanently broken.

All you can do is load a backup.

@crinrict  I loaded a backup and decided to stay away from this house for a while, so far I have found out that it occurs when I adopt dogs in this household. It's strange and I don't have any mods installed that have to do with cats and dogs.

    @brodyfowers Did you check if you have any of the mods listed on the first page ? If you are using bigger mods, check with the creators for updates.
