I find this annoying too, it seemed to be from the caretakers and not necessarily from the parents. I fired them. But you're right, in general, there seems to be an overall excessive picking up and setting down of infants in the game for sure. I am also having an issue with the parents taking the infants out in the back carrier, setting them on the ground in some random place, then abandoning them only to run home to take the trash out! They never seem to realize they left their infants at the park unless I specifically instruct them to go back!? LOL. I wish we could lock them in the back carrier so they couldn't be deserted like that. CPS is going to have to intervene.
@shatterhex Wow, that stinks! I'm too much of a micromanager... I haven't even taken them anywhere in the pack, but leaving them at a park would be disturbing, to say the least!
I did have an annoying and disturbing number of times that the parents, grandparents or aunts/uncles (I have all on the lot) and the butler took the infant into the yard in the fall/autumn in weather registering as 'cold', and set the infant on the ground only to stand there or leave... or sometimes change the infant into winter clothing... until the infant was filthy and extremely low on hygiene. One time I had 3 adults standing there with two filthy infants on the ground. I think what finally kicked in the need for someone to tend to them was for the hunger to get low enough, or for energy to get low enough to kick in the desire to put them in a crib. I was quite perplexed that the hygiene level didn't alarm them into action earlier than that (and that they took the infant into the cold and put them on the ground).
Baby in any red should bring action, imho, if no one is currently interacting with them. I had several interactions with the now hygiene that were the butler decided to act... and he changed the outfit (which very slightly raised the super low hygiene). Diaper change and bath at this hygiene level should have occurred to parent/grandparent/butler.... all of them. That said, I had tons of times that the butler and parents/grandparents reacted autonomously and very appropriately, just not always... and why this was the case left me scratching my head and/or very annoyed at times. (It was killing me to wait to see what it took to get an auto-action for the babies in the pic here!)

I don't play with Mods/CC, have all packs, and these are long-time played Sims with tons of skill, parenting, and no weird traits.

Wow, I just laugh so hard at the interactions with the infants, it is definitely entertaining. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
