[Mod related] Unexplained fires

I keep having random objects catching fire. Chairs, tables, toilets, garbage bin. There is seemingly no reason for the fires. The lot is off the grid.

@Viddeliten I was talking to the other user posting.

Did you test without mods now ? You're issue could be different to the other user since you use mods.

  • I am having an issue in my Sims 4 game. Multiple fires a day on the stove while sim is cooking. Also fireplace already lit starts a fire.

  • No Sims with fear of fire. Cooking Level at 10. Base game stove. Happens everytime they cook. I do not have the High School expansion pack, but I did notice a recent update a few days ago and this has been happening since then.

  • Mine seems to have stopped after deleting all saved games and turning off mods. I think it may have been a mod I was using. Thank you for your help.

  • Hi, sorry for late reply! I wasn't able to recreate the problem without mods, so one mod must have done it

  • I am having this problem. It doesn’t seem like there is a posted solution here so I’m hoping for an answer.

We have many exp packs but no mods or cc on the game. Playing in moonwood mill. Two adults both light the stove on fire every single time they cook.  The teen does as well. Can’t cook ever without a blaze and sim catching fire.

Lot traits are bracing breezes, convivial, creepy crawlies. We’ve tried every drive and same thing each time. Tried putting the fire prevention system in as well as a hood. No change. Cook=blaze 100% of the time. Is there any fix for this save?
