I started playing sims on my macbook and my male sims don’t appear in create a sim. In the worlds i can see them but if i try to change their clothes in CAS, they don’t appear at all.
This is a save from my PC that i transferred to my Macbook, could that be the issue?
I recently played the SIMS4 and, after updating my game on 4/19, I could no longer see any male sims. I clicked on various different games I have on my account and continuously noticed my male sims would be invisible, with just the green SIMS diamond over their head. When I had the POV of a female player, I could not interact with the male players and could not click on them. I tried the Better Exceptions mod to see if any mods were broken. After one mod was removed, and another updated, there were no differences and the males are still invisible. I play on a MacBook and am not sure where to go from here.
All help would be appreciated; thank you.

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199
You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by clicking on the dots in EA app.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
- Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
- Tray Folder
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
- ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
- Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

I was also having the same problem on my MacBook but I believe I found the issue! Before I started having the problem, I noticed that when using one of my breast sliders, if I moved the slider too far in the character would disappear—even my female sims.
I followed @crinrict instructions and while putting my mods back in by folder, I discovered that removing one of my breast sliders (B.C_Breast.package) fixed the issue of my male sims being invisible. I saw a thread on reddit and it seems like other users are having the same problem but removing various slider mods fixed it. Try going through them a few at a time to see which one is causing the issue!- 3 years ago
I removed that slider as well and the male sims are now showing up again.
- 3 years ago@PrincessRo im also having this issue!!! did it happen to you after the update as well?
- 3 years agoYes it did!
thankfully, there are instructions on how to do a safe reset and I was able to figure out which mod was causing it after a few hours.

For me the issue was the Heliotropic mods I had installed, especially the breast, hip, and butt sliders. I have allure breasts installed as well but that wasnt the issue.
