Mods not showing up despite trying many things

As the title says, I can't get mods to work in Sims 4. I've tried everything. Enabling and disabling mods and script mods in the settings, deleting and reinstalling the game, repairing the game. I've searched through so many forums and suggestions and every single thing I've tried hasn't worked. I'm so confused because the mods previously worked and then suddenly topped showing up in-game on my installed mods list. I'm frustrated because I've spent the last few days trying to get the mods to work to no avail and it's just making me not want to play the game anymore. Does anyone have any kind of fix-it I can try? I'm at my wits end here.
