Mods not working after update

Please try this:

1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
2. Launch Sims 4. You should get no list of mods on launch, and you should have no option to load a previous save. 
3. Exit Sims 4
4. Download one fresh piece of CC. I recommend something like a recent piece of furniture or a floor. Install the mod in the newly created Mods folder, not your old one.
5. Launch Sims 4.
6. Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game.

Won't it delete my whole data? Also I use steam to play sims

You'll have all the old data available to put back in after testing. The mods folder is the same whether you use Steam or the EA App.
