It seems like the mod for sitting only applies to weddings, performances and movies, not in general or when they're eating dinner? I haven't used it personally, though. I wonder if you put on a movie during dinner that means they do stay seated?
I been using this mod and so far and when they are eating at home or at a restaurant they remain on their sit much longer and I haven't seen so much of the musical chairs at all. But I haven't check to see if they remain on their sit while watching a movie yet.
There is also a mod that was updated by LittleMsSam and the download is on page eight-second post-#177
