most custom content suddenly no longer working, I've tried everything
I downloaded sims 4 a week ago. I downloaded tons of cc. My game was running the cc and mods perfectly fine so I continued downloading. The cc worked fine other than a couple pieces of clothing not appearing on sims correctly in CAS or live mode. Most of the mods worked perfect and the ones that caused issues I removed.
I was playing the game today with my cc working fine, I closed the game and reopened it a minute later and I was notified that many cc items had been removed. CC and script mods are enabled, All of my cc are unzipped, in the mod file, up to date (all downloaded less than a week ago, mostly recent uploads to TSR), I don't have multiple packages, I have a resource.cfg file. I've tried all recommendations I've found on troubleshooting this issues. I've deleted localthumbcache and cache, moved all my mods to a new folder in desktop and reset game options through deleting Options.ing and then placed my mods into the new folder. I've repaired and deleted and reinstalled the game (I placed the old mod folder directly into the sims 4 file rather than individually moving the cc files, is this possibly where I went wrong?).
some info about what I was doing right before I opened the game and this happened: My child sim was unable to Interact with other sims and my sims were able to interact with him, the only text bubbles that popped up were "actions" and "MC command". this had happened to me once before and was fixed by removing a faulty mod and removing the localthumbcashe. I took these steps again and restarted my game. The issue was fixed, the sims was able to interact again and the game stopped being laggy but this is when I got the message that cc had been removed. I noticed the more than half of my clothing cc and other items had been removed.
WHen starting the game, it shows a small select amount of cc that the game recognized, as well as all the mods. I've attached a screen shot below of which cc files show up for the game.
These are what I think the possibilities are:
1. I downloaded such a sheer amount of cc in such a short amount of time and it caused all but a small handful of cc to now longer show up on the game (I have over 3000 cc files oops)
2. There's a single or a few piece of broken cc that caused most of the cc to not show up
it may also be a side effect of a mod? I have wonderful whims, my dynamic teen life by a.deep.indigo, Basemental drugs, and MC command centre, but none of these ever caused me issues before this.
also I keep getting a last exception notification from MCCC, could this be related?
