I play on a mac and have an old thread in the mac forum. but i emptied my game, and I think that the problem is old/ broken cc. I only use MCCC mod and i had that updated to the latest version so i dont think that is the problem. Im just not sure how I would find out which exact cc is causing my game to freeze.

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.- 2 years ago@jpkarlsen I have a lot of CC so Im not sure which needs updates/ where I found some of them/ how would i know they are broken in game? Ive gone in CAS and everything ive tested so far I couldnt tell that anything was broken so im just confused
Also delete the localthumbcache.package.. where do I find that?- luthienrising2 years agoHero+
@kfoiu2h74hgn Most broken CC doesn't cause game freezing. If it does and gets reported, it'll end up on a Broken/Updated Mods list here (this is the link to the newest iteration), but none has been reported recently. Game freezing is more likely to be a mod.
Here are instructions on how to run a test of your Mods folder to find out what's broken: 50-50
Localthumbcache is a file in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 You need to delete that file every time you delete or replace a file in the Mods folder.
