@vampyxangel Some questions to get you in the right support area with needed info. I've moved you to Mod Issues for now just so I don't miss a reply, but no mod will be the cause of this. It's also not something the game is designed to do when it updates, but we can help you prevent it happening again. With some luck, we might also help you find your old content.
- PC or Mac?
- Were your previous saves also gone?
- Do you use anything like OneDrive or another syncing program?
- Have you done a search of your PC for the file name of a particular mod?
Note that if your computer system tries to delete a really, really big folder, it won't get stored in the bin; it will get outright deleted. This isn't specific to Sims 4 at all.

@luthienrising - No doubt. They said they had over 150GB of mods. That's massive. If it's gone, it's very gone. I can't even imagine that much modding. My mods folder is 2.55GB and it seems like a lot of stuff.
