My roof

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.90.375.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats & Dogs, Get Famous, Get to Work, Island Living, Vampires, Vintage Glamour, Blooming Rooms Kit
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not sure, maybe build a similarhouse/roof?
What happens when the bug occurs? You can see into the house because the part of the roof is missing. It wasn't always like this, it was fine when I first put the roof on, but something must have changes during the building process, I'm just not sure what it was. Some things I did were; adjusting the floor level heights, adding some plants to the walls/roof walls with moveobjects on, which I have since removed, and adjusting wall heights. Nothing I backtrack on seems to help at all.
What do you expect to see? I expect not to see into the house through my roof.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

  • Thanks so much, it seems to have resolved itself after adding the ceiling. I’ve reinstalled for the first time in a couple years and I’m pretty rusty. 🥲 Thanks again!! 🙏

From what I can see in your pics, it looks like the eaves have been pulled back as far as they can go and that is what is causing the gaps along the roof line.  You may have done that or they may have retracted on their own when you applied the frieze, so the frieze doesn't show through the roof.  Those friezes do that depending on the roof type and slope and which frieze you use as well as how far the eaves are extended.  So, you can try adjusting the roof angle and pulling the eaves out.  You could also try changing the frieze to something smaller or just deleting sections in some places where you can't really see the frieze due to the roof anyway if you have the eaves extended.  You can delete sections of it using the Alt or Ctrl key (I forget which it is atm) with the hammer tool if you don't already know.

Another thing I see is in the picture with the roofs down.  You have no ceilings in those rooms so you might want to add them.

    Hope this helps.
