@mprgansam Do you have Mods/CC? I you do, please test without saving to see if the issue is gone if you remove the following cache file and the Mods folder as directed in the spoiler tag:
Spoiler
Exit the game. Move the Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. You can then test without saving – or in a new vanilla game save – in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue. Then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue
I know it's not ideal, but you could try turning off autonomy:
Load your game, then enter a game save. From the 'World Select' or Manage Worlds/World Menu View, select the three dots (Options Menu) > Game Options > Gameplay and adjust the "Autonomy' settings. You can try just turning it off, or you can try turning it off for your 'selected sim'.
