My Sims 4 game keeps crashing, and CAS is stuck on infinite loading screen.

When I click the game icon to open up the game, it crashes almost immediately, and before this I have been struggling with a CAS infinite loading screen, I have just got a new laptop so Im sure I've ...

Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, please do a "vanilla" test:  Drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
