my sims aren't doing anything

I play the sims 4 on Mac with cc and mods , everything was fine and then today I downloaded a few new mods and cc. When I went onto the sims they weren't moving and weren't doing the actions that I told them to do, and when I click on objects and other sims no options come up. I deleted all the new mods and it still didn't work. ive tried resetting the sims and repairing the game and neither worked. I tried the game without cc and mods enabled and it worked but now my sims are all naked and bald once ive turned the cc back on and the issue is still there. I have no idea what to do to fix it , please help!
