my sims cannot try for baby

I have one Sim that doesn't have the option to Try for Baby. He is a young adult and he's been flirting with 2 ou 3 girls from the neighbourhood. He is able to Woohoo with them, but there is no option to Try for Baby.

I have no Mods in my game. My Sim lives in a house I created myself (not downloaded from the Gallery) with his sister. His sister is able to Try for Baby with her boyfriend in the same bed (I tried to see if the problem could come from the bed). I tried to have him "Try for Baby" with 2 different Sims also, just in case the first girl was not able to get pregnant. I also checked his Gender settings in Full Edit CAS and he is able to get Sims pregnant. So I'm quite at a loss, knowing that I'm playing a legacy challenge and he's actually the heir...

Any idea how to fix this?

That's it, I understand what the problem is! Thanks to your message. I decided to try if on my game I could also "unlock" the Try for Baby by invitating to move in one of the NPCs and as it did with you, the option was there. I was just about to move her back to her original household and noticed that with her, they were 8 Sims. So obviously she couldn't get pregnant. I took a look at the households of the others and actually most of the NPCs households are full house! Since we can check what's happening in the neighborhood, Sims keep adopting children all the time 🙂
So in fact, there's no bug, just way too many adopted children in my Sims world 😃

@ceaufy Are these Sims you created or NPCs/Gallery Sims ?

Well, the brother and sister are created by me (that is they are children of a couple I created in CAS). Both the girlfriends he tried to "Try for Baby" are NPCs. He is able to Woohoo with them but there's no option to Try for Baby...

@ceaufy Did you also check the gender settings for the two NPCs ?

No, I haven't. These NPCs have not moved in with my Sim so I have no way to edit them in CAS. I thought that trying with 2 different NPCs would be enough to prove that the issue comes from my Sim. I could try with a third one and potentially have one moved in with him and edit her then.

I have a similar issue, but mine is when you go to 'try for baby' the other gets angry even though they do not have dislikes children trait or anything.. this happens with nearly every sim.

Yesterday, I tried a few things. My Sim seduced a 3rd NPC and still no Try for Baby. I replaced the bed, nothing. I reset my Sim, I changed his gender options and back again but all in vain. I'm kind of stuck now. He's the heir of my legacy challenge, what can I do? I guess I could always adopt but that's not what I had in mind for him.

@ceaufy I'm wondering if this is by design. I feel like the Sims put some effort into showing consent with the woohoo interactions (like the weird pre-woohoo chat) and I could imagine that the game would not let you knock up NPCs for this reason.

Does it work if his partner is added to your family?

But my Sim can Woohoo with the NPCs, no problem. And his sister can Woohoo and also Try for Baby (same house, same bed) with NPCs

@ceaufy Would you mind uploading your Sim to the gallery and posting your name here ?

To edit an NPCs you can either do that from the household manager or use the cheat: testingcheats and then CAS.fulleditmode on and the shift click on the sim and choose modify in CAS.

Thank you for your message. I have edited the NPC using your method and she's able to get pregnant, so the problem doesn't come from her.
I have uploaded my household. My name on the Gallery is Ceaufy and the family is called Robinson. The problematic Sim is the son, Theagenes.
