My sims disappeared.??

Im so confused on what just happened, my child sim just disappeared from my household then like a minute later I got a notification that he died?? but grim never came, no music, no urn, nothing that indicates he died. But then all my sims have a moonlet saying "Child whisked away" and that child services took him?? im really confused.
