My Sims game doesn't load unless custom content is gradually added.

I play The Sims 4 on my 2022 M2 Chip MacBook and I have around 20gb of custom content on my Sims 4 game.

My game has always launched pretty smoothly, ran well too (with the occasional crash of course) but recently (only when I switched from Origin to the EA app) it has not been loading when there is custom content in my game.

I tried deleting all of my custom content and downloaded everything all again and that didn't work, so I assumed some if it must've been broken. I then ended up trying to gradually add some custom content into my mods folder to see if it could load.

I discovered that I could get my game to work if I gradually added ~1GB at a time and deleted localthumbcache after each set of custom content. However this fix only works for about 24 hours then I have to repeat the process all over again.

I have tried repairing the game multiple times aswell.

I was wondering if anyone had experienced something like this or knew any fix.

Thank you for any help :)

Just to add: My game works once all the custom content has gradually been added in, so I don't get why it won't work if I add it all at once since it eventually works with all of it.
