new sims 4 cc wont show up on mac

I've recently started playing the sims 4 again and I wanted to get new custom content. I downloaded a bunch today and transferred it all into the Mods folder with the other custom content I had previously. I went to play the game and only my old custom content is showing up. I have tried some solutions including moving the Mods folder onto the desktop and restarting the game, but it doesn't create a new Mods folder.

I've looked for other people with this issue but I can't seem to find anyone else with the same problem.

I apologize if I'm just being clueless but someone please help lol.

I also don't know if I made this post correctly?? This is my first time on this website.

  • @xshmc  It sounds like you're not working with the same Sims 4 folder as the game is reading.  Here's how to find the correct folder (in-game):

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2018/07/how-to-find-your-user-folder/

When you're looking at a given folder, you can right-click it and select Get Info to see the full file path.  One common issue for Mac users is that they're unaware they're looking at the Documents folder in iCloud, not the one stored on their computer.  So if you see iCloud in the file path, you know you're not in the right place.  To open the local version of Documents, click on Macintosh HD in the left panel, then select Users > your username > Documents.

@DICTE05  Does your computer run macOS or Windows?  Either way, there has to be a Documents folder somewhere, but you may not be looking in the correct location.
