New update deleted my save and replaced it with another person's save?

So basically I am at a complete loss. I recently started a new sims game a couple of days ago. And today I downloaded a new expansion and it automatically updated my game. I go into my game and I see all the mods are disabled. So I go and fix that so mods work again. I go back into my game and find MY ENTIRE SAVE IS GONE AND HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH WHAT LOOKS TO BE ANOTHER PERSONS SAVE?? Like its a completely different family and it resumes mid game? It looks like someone elses game??? PLUS my mods aren't working at all now!!! And I've enabled them too??? What is going on??? I've uninstalled and reinstalled and it just keeps coming back up with the same issues?? What can I do?? I've tried deleting the other person save file and it nots going away???

    Hi there @sarahdj12,

    It sounds like you may be loading into an NPC household instead of your previously played family.

    If you're not seeing any of your save data under the Load Game option on the main menu, you'll want to run through the steps here to restore your previous save files.

    This also happened to me! Is there a way to recover my old saved game? I’m playing on PS4 and my game is currently updated

    @TayyeRac You've got a thread in Console. This forum is for mod and CC issues, which can't affect you. You'll get support in your other thread.
