No control panel :(

I started a new world.  I'm having the same issue.  The control panel isn't visible. 

Try the following

• Close the game
• Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
• Repair the game
• Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Be aware that your claimed event rewards will also be gone for the time being but you will get them back with your other things.
• Start a new save game
• Check if you still have the error
• Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

Edit to add that I deleted the new sims folder and renamed my old folder and have everything back. 

No.  I don't even know what that is. 

I can't travel.  I started the game and had controls.  When they arrived at their destination the controls were gone........... this sucks lol 

I guess i'll give it a try since I can play as long as I don't go in CAS, don't go in buy/build and don't travel lol   I'll post what happened.   Thanks

I'm distraught.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the game.  The problem still exists.  😞
