not working on Mac
I keep trying to play on the MacBook Air and it doesn't even load up the screen like the EA app just sits there but nothing comes up. Today 11/16/2025 the sims page pops up then shows when it's about...

No I don’t have any mods I don’t think I have CC I’m not sure well maybe in the houses if that’s what you are referring to but the game is hella glitchy right now it’s awful
Kabutchkey Please try this:
- Rename the Mods folder
- Delete the file called localthumbcache.package
- Restart Sims 4 and see how far you can get loading a game.
I don’t have mods
Kabutchkey CC are mods, located in the Mods folder.
Better still please try this test:
- rename the user folder: that's the folder Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4
- restart the game
- try to start a new game
