Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 27.0
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure, this happens with most cc's.
What happens when the bug occurs? The cc's become extremely big. This doesn't happen with basegame objects. Doesn't happen with every single cc, but does happen with so many cc's so i don't think its because i have cc's, but rather something wrong with the game files.
What do you expect to see? A normal sized object.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This happened after the latest Sims 4 Update.

What I did so far:

I fixed the game files through EA App, and also Steam. Removed all of my cc. Tried S4S Studio to see if I can "fix" my cc or debug files. Removed the game completely and deleted all my backup data. Started from the very beginning with a completely fresh save, and installed only the cc that were big. They were big. I've asked some cc creator's to check the cc's. They so far told me there are no issues with the cc's, so this is a my game specific issue. So I'm just trying to see if there is anything we can do.

Attached is a picture of a huge lamp and a lamp that should be the regular size. Both are cc's. I did not use the resize tool on them.

Also, I can fix their size with the resize tool, but it makes it a bit tricky to move around, so I have to use mods like OSMP+, etc.

  • @Haruseok Please try this:

    1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
    2. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
    3. Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game with a base-game object.

If that works, start putting old content back:

    1. Exit and copy some of the affected CC from your old Mods folder into your new one
    2. Launch Sims 4 and test if it's working now

that's an awesome idea. i also realized that some base game objects started to double in size too. it only happens to wall objects like wall lights, curtains, posters, etc. so i thought it must be because of a couple cc or script mods that changed the way i hang stuff. so i will try your solution and if it doesn't work i will try every couple cc by itself or in groups to see. (i have a 30gb cc folder wish me luck <3)

edit: 50 minutes later: moving the whole sims 4 folder and resetting my options did not help solve the issue. base game lights are still huge. while trying i had also removed any and all cc's, so this also proved it's not a cc issue either. now i'm just stuck. at first i was thinking to just get rid of all the huge cc's but it's now regular base game items too.
