I started playing the Sims pretty recently, but I had no idea about occults because they are not in my game at all. There is no option in the CAS, nor are there any spawning on their own. I've tried some cheats but it always shows an error message that says something like "no trait Occult(X) found." I feel like I am missing out on a really cool part of the game. Is there something wrong with my game or am I missing an expansion pack?
@AKAES23 , in addition to what @jpkarlsen mentioned, you can get Mermaids🧜♀️🧜♂️ with the Island Living EP. However Aliens and Mermaids do not have as detailed gameplay as Vampires and Spellcasters do, because Vampires and Spellcasters came in their own packs that were only devoted to them, while Aliens and Mermaids were part of packs that had many other features that didn't necessarily have anything to do with Aliens and Mermaids.
Also, we are getting a new Game Pack in June, and there are a lot of hints that it will be a Werewolf pack! This theme has not been confirmed, but there are multiple signs suggesting this will be the theme! 🐺🌕

The only base game occult is PlantSims, which you can get with the PlantSim scenario or by using the bb.showhiddenobjects cheat and buying a forbidden fruit. Since it only lasts for five days, you'd probably want to buy two and plant one.
You cannot create a PlantSim in CAS.
@xochiquetzl_xkvn , thanks for mentioning the PlantSim.😀 We tend to forget about it since the effect doesn't last long, and it was introduced years ago with a Jasmine Holiday limited-time challenge (back before The Sims 4 was even on consoles!). 🤨
@AKAES23 , like @xochiquetzl_xkvn explained, you can become a PlantSim by using cheats. But recently, with the introduction of the Scenarios in the Main Menu, there is a Plant Sim Scenario! If you choose that scenario you will be given the materials in your personal inventory to become a Plant Sim🌿 , no cheats needed! 🥳 However, this is a limited state as your Sims will only remain Plant Sims for about 5 days.
Also, if you have the Jungle Adventure GP, you can temporarily get a curse that turns you into a Skeleton, but it is very short-lived. 😉
