Option for romantic interaction not showing up in game.

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

When you save a Sim they are saved to your local library not the online gallery.

Thank you so much, I don't have any mods on my game - I only have CC. How do I check if my CC needs updating?

Also, I wasn't trying to save the household to the online gallery. I was trying to save it to my local library however it wasn't even showing up on my local library. Do you know how to fix this?

To test your CC just follow the instructions I posted.

Since you use CC remember to tick off include CC when you look in your library.

I have tried your suggestions and unfortunately I was still experiencing the problem so they didn't work.
I have now deleted all my CC which has solved my issue of being able to add a family to the gallery.

However, I am still experiencing the problem with my 'romantic' interaction when playing that save file. I added the same sims into a new save file and it still didn't work, with the romantic option not showing up. So I assumed it is an issue with the sims instead of the save file. No CC was used and I have no CC downloaded anymore. 

To carry on playing the game, I ended up making a new save file with completely new sims. The romantic interaction is showing up in this game however there are other glitches now appearing. My sim cannot eat as whenever I click on food only the 'clean up' option appears. Moreover, it isn't even letting me cook food.
