What do you expect to see? The photos gets taken, they appear in the sims personal inventory but doesn't show up in household inventory so one can't place them in the world
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

When sims takes photos it does appear in their personal inventory but it doesn't show up in household inventory. I moved madison family to a different lot in the same world and suddenly no photos in the household inventory. Moving them to a different world doesn't fix it. Old households I haven't played since 2022 also has this bug

  • Hi @Anma998 to live drag anything from your inventory I think it's the square button on PS. I'm on Xbox Series X and it's the X button which is on the left hand side of the grid of buttons, I've just looked around for my PS3 but it's vanished so I can't check. Testing the buttons will tell you though. You just hold and drag to a wall or shelf for photos and can then select frame colour by clicking the photo. You can do the same for all collectables too and place them on shelves or place paintings on walls.

  • @Anma998 Objects either go in the household inventory or the Sims personal inventory, not both. You should be able to either drag them from your personal inventory to the wall or use place in world. Does that not work for you ?

For the second issue: Did you put them in the household inventory from the wall and then they got lost on moving ?

I didn't drag items in household inventory  previously, the photos just were there. I am on console so not sure how one can drag anything anywhere. Weird I was able to take photos out of household inventory in the previous house.

Three aren't any options to place photos in the world from personal inventory.

@Anma998 Photos normally go to the personal inventory of the Sim that took the photo. Hopefully a console player can tell you how to drag them. I checked and yep you're right, there's no interactions on the photos but they don't go in the household inventory unless you put them there through build mode or if the game puts them there from your house (there's a few things that makes that happen)

Are the photos stuck that you have in the household inventory or did they disappear while moving ?

Yes it was the square button, it worked with one sim but with another sim that has 99+20 photos the photo get stuck, like it sometimes do with other stuff one picks up in live mode, it won't release, had to turn off the game. Then I tried again and now I got an error code and the game turned itself off (CE 34878-0) So theoretical right answer but it seems like a bug or something happens. Weird it didn't happen with the other sim, she only had 30 pictures though

  • @Anma998 the error code can be linked to taking photos. I'm on Xbox so my solution and effects may be completely different. For me, I actually can't take photos anymore at all or I get an error code that affects my saves (it started after adding Moschino/photographer career and reaching a large number of inventory photos) and the same problem happens when I download from the gallery.

Here's the technical issues thread for consoles with troubleshooting tips:

For me the first step was to reset my console and "keep my apps and games" so as not to lose anything. There should be an equivalent command in your PS settings but take a look at the above troubleshooting steps for the best info for your console.

    Good luck!
