Plan an Event Blank (I have no mods/cc content) Sims 4

I just got a new gaming laptop, bought two expansion packs, and I have not downloaded any mods/ cc. I went to plan an Event and the screen is blank and 10 minutes went by nothing appeared... I have went completely out of sims 4 and nothing changed, and I have restarted my laptop too and nothing changed again. I have looked for other people going through the same thing, but they have mods/cc so I am not sure on how to fix this issue.
