There shouldn’t be a sims 4 folder in the electronic Arts 2 folder. That was the cause of the issue. Remove the empty electronic Arts_2 folder. Then “ copy” back the sims 4 folder that you placed on the desktop that holds your old saves, mods etc , so that it replaces the newly generated sims 4 folder.
