I think that you may need to completely uninstall and reinstall your game. I am sorry :( Delete the new electronics arts_2 folder. Then uninstall the game. Then reinstall the game. After the game has reinstalled , launch the game, then exit the game. Check to see that a electronics arts_2 folder hasn’t been generated. What should have been generated was a Documents -Electronic Arts -sims 4 folder,
Keep back up copies of your saves and mods folders that contain all of your old saves and mods.
