Ravenwood events not triggering or showing on calendar? [L+D]

Tried starting a brand new save and Afterlife Anonymous loaded; with mods and cc too. I got the pop up window as well alerting me to the event beginning, which I never have gotten in my other save. I am wondering if Afterlife Anonymous wouldn't spawn due to the lag on my main save file?? Or does this mean that save is corrupted? I have been playing on it for years. It has numerous played households, created sims, seen many mods come and go, and overall has accumulated lots of data. The household I have on my main save file in Ravenwood has 4 sims, rather than just 1 on the new save file I created as a test. The lot/house itself also has wayyy more items and is larger. I'm just brainstorming ideas at this point for why this is an occurrence because I want to figure out the root of the issue. Also, it's worth noting that there is what appears to be lag time on the new save- I did not receive the event beginning notification, nor did it spawn until 10PM, when the event is supposed to start at 6PM. Hoping I can figure out what's causing this. Do you have any advice?

In that other save, try doing a "save as". Sometimes that clears out glitches. Delete localthumbcache too, just as part of that general clearing of stuff.
