Re: a bunch of random folders + cc doesn't work
@av97y4awi2zr When you play Sims 4, you get two "The Sims 4" folders on your computer. One contains the game's program files, as in, the data that Origin or the EA App installs and that's the same for all players. That's the folder you're looking at, and yes, if you delete its contents, you'll need to reinstall the game. The contents you've described are normal: each pack you install gets its own folder, labeled by type and release order. EP01 corresponds to Get to Work, the first expansion pack EA released.
The folder you're looking for is the Sims 4 user folder, and it's always in Documents > Electronic Arts. Installing the game on an external drive won't change that. There are two key details here. One is that this folder won't appear until you launch Sims 4 for the first time. The other is that the folder may land in a different Documents folder than the one you're looking at, for example it might be in OneDrive's version of Documents. You can find the full file path to this folder in-game:

If you want to make sure you're opening the correct folder, open a File Explorer window and click This PC in the left panel, then open C > Users > your username, and proceed from there.
