Re: A question about the masterpieces with Art Lover trait

@aodoherty I'm not surprised. There are a lot of traits like that. That work opposite.

One example is the sickness immunity trait. You have that, you'll be constantly sick.

    @aodoherty I don't usually give my sims the creative visionary trait, because as you found, it does seem like they actually make less masterpieces with it. I just use the lot trait and it seems to give a nice amount of masterpieces.

    My last artist was an art lover with the lot trait and I did not notice a huge amount of masterpieces vs the sims without it.

    I've also seen others comment on this but I do not believe there is any kind of bug report for it.

    This is anecdotal, but I find that my Sims paint nothing but masterpieces all day long until they reach that part of the aspiration and then....

    ...nothing.  LOL

    I do things like "Okay, do some brain-boosting yoga, then cloudgaze, then take a thoughtful shower.... and then paint." I think it helps? but don't have real evidence to back that up.

    I see the notification "Congratulations! Sim 1 has just finished painting a masterpiece!" but then realize it was a figure drawing. A figure drawing that doesn't count for the masterpiece part of the aspiration.

    @xochiquetzl_xkvn Naw, that's too much work. I prefer static buffs around. Like in the painting career, you get a special easel that grants an Inspired buff. There's also postcards, lamps from San MyShuno street sales, even paintings if you have a high-level painter. I just leave these things around and "turn them on" when I need a high inspired buff.

    I do that all over the house. Media station? Postcard for inspired recordings, ice bucket for flirty, dolls for Playful, lamps for focused... Just turn on the one I want when recording. Always have a postcard in the kitchen to boost cooking...

    I use Muse berry from jungle adventure, it gives 3 inspired moodlet for 4 hours, or set the lot trait to chef hat and make a simple food, and it makes your sim inspired straightaway. If you have high level in mixology, just make only a glass of drinks, it gives +2 inspired moodlet.

    @PoptartJuniper
    Oh....I didn't know that. My other sims with creative visionary but without art lover trait, seems to make masterpieces often, maybe is it from the lot trait? Oh..I see I can test more with my sims without art lover. thanks. Yeah I know the figure doesn't count to the milestone because the aspiration is only takes the base game feature. :D

    @PsychotpsYeah, if they're actually in the career I use the career objects.  And @aodoherty I LOVE the Jungle Adventure berries!  I also play a lot of gardeners and Inspired cowplant milk also rocks.

    BUT, if you don't have any of those? Yoga/cloudgazing/thoughtful showers are the bomb.
