@CircuitD If the issue happens to be Mod &/or CC related (if), you cannot really confirm yes or no by just removing some of your Mods, unless you happened to remove the correct one and the cache file wasn't interfering. If.
Edit: Thank you Crin for sharing the link to this helpful post... it may be helpful to you also, @CircuitD ! This is a list of broken Mods/CC, which may save you time. If any of your Mods/CC are on the list and you remove them or repair them, please also to remove the localthumbcache.package file from your "The Sims 4" folder: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/995117/broken-updated-mods-cc-nov-21-scenarios-patch
If referencing that list isn't useful in your case, following is how to test all of the Mods/CC, not just part, and to remove the cache file:
Try moving the Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. You can test without saving in order to identify which CC/Mods are causing the issue, then remove or add updated version(s) of the Mod/CC causing the issue.
Another thing you could try if this brings no results is to run a game repair:
• Open Origin, click ‘Game Library’ then right-click Sims 4 > Repair Game • Let it run until it has completed all repairs. It will do the base game first, then run through each of your DLCs (Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs and Kits).
Thank you for the response. I remove cache file every single time I add or remove any mod. I checked the list of broken mods and the ones that reported updated by creators. I also checked reported current issues and seen other people reporting problems with excessive mischief. I rather doubt that a few harvestable would cause excessive mischief. I don’t use mccc or twisted mods. I also got chingus traits after I noticed the issue in an attempt to offset the excessive use of mischief and other interactions. So I’m at a loss. Best
@CircuitD Is this issue present when you play other Sims? Is it present in another game save?
Perhaps you would be willing to move the entire Mods folder to the desktop and remove the mentioned cache file (as in the directions provided above) but then re-open the game and do not enter any of the game saves you already have but make a brand new game save in the game (this way it will be fully 'vanilla' with no Mods active and no possible affects from any)... Then if you enter and play in that game save for a while do you see the same issue occurring? Once you have confirmed one way or the other you can leave the game without saving.
