Hi, I'm having the exact same problem. Any time I place a "magic seeds starter pack" into the world, I click open packet and then the packet disappears. I've tried the suggestions listed here but it still isn't working for me. Very frustrated, would really appreciate a solution, please!
@0048f9ee8966431e Do you have mods or CC in your Mods folder? If so, do a "vanilla" test to see if a mod/CC is your problem: Move (not copy) the Mods folder to the desktop (or rename it), delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving. Let me know if it works now.
Thank you, I had seen you offered this same advice to someone else on another post. I followed it, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. Any other ideas?
@0048f9ee8966431e Does it work if you open the packet inside your inventory? That's what I usually do.
No, it doesn't. Tried it just now.
I can select the packet – place in world, open etc. – and the Sim has it lined up in his tasks, he starts to walk toward it then it just disappears from the task line and wherever it's placed. It's so annoying.
Would uninstalling the pack and reinstalling it help?
@0048f9ee8966431e You could try a Game Repair. It's much faster than an uninstall/reinstall. Make sure the packet is also somewhere easily accessible. If you still have issues after a Game Repairwith no mods/CC in a new save, I'd suggest posting to Game Issues or Bug Reports.
