Re: CAS infinite loading screen after 23. 07. update

I have this same problem basically. I've spent the last 3-4 days combing through my mods folder and updating everything that can be updated, I've done all of the traditional fixes SEVERAL times. At first I couldn't even get the family to load into CAS, but when I took my CC folder out of my mods folder I was finally able to load into CAS with at least one family, HOWEVER - clicking on one of the sims in the family triggers a UI exception and then that sim takes on the name of the previous sim (and if I go from the pet to the sim then all the pose buttons for the pets are still there when the sim is showing). When I finally got it to load into CAS I thought it was just bad CC, but all these new issues and the UI exception with the CC taken out means something is still wrong. The UI exception report says something about broken trait mods but doesn't find any trait mods. I really thought it was just a corrupted save but I'm glad it's not just me, so hopefully it can be fixed soon.

    @S_Kitty91 See page 1 of the post you've been merged into. CAS loading is mod-related, and most culprits are known.

    @S_Kitty91 It’s not just traits. It’s aspirations too. There were a couple I had stopping me from getting into CAS from any family in-game and from the household management tab. But would allow new households to be created. Try to find what mod is causing this from scarletsrealm website too. That should help some.

    @RosieSongbird Did you start with the items on page 1 of this thread? If you identify a mod that's not on the lists there, please let me know which one it is.

    @RosieSongbird scarletsrealm is the first place I go after a patch day, and I've cross-referenced all the mods listed there with everything I have and checked and double checked for updates, which is why this issue has been so baffling to me - nothing should be outdated TT_TT

    Some of the CAS related mods I took out (that I have  confirmed with confidence that my CAS in an already existing family) were: all of helgatisha and NorthernSiberiaWinds control mods, twistedmexi recent “search” related mods, some of Kiarasims4mods aspirations — most of which I saw were updated but I was doing trial and error or 50/50ish method — and a couple random ones I had just added that for the life of me I can’t think of. But now I’m able to load my family even with the ‘fulleditmode’ cheat on.

    Well, I have no idea what exactly changed, but it's working now. I only have like 2 mods that are on the list from page 1 of this thread (thepancake1 and MizoreYukii - More Traits in CAS and weerbesu - More Columns in CAS), never really had any of the others. I have a mod that "can't be talked about here" that was just updated today so idk if that was what helped? I ended up adding back the More Traits in CAS mod and the 6-column version of More CAS Columns, and the game still works fine. I'm sharing a screenshot of the remaining mods I kept out for now, maybe it can help someone, I really wish I could pinpoint what it was that fixed it, but other than that 'other' update today I really don't know.

    OH! I also updated Lumpinou's Toolbox, Basemental's Venue List, and Srsly's Custom Menus today - if that helps anyone!

    Nice! I have more traits and more columns in my game too. Those never gave me an issue though. I updated them right when the newest version came out. I follow most of the kidders I like on Patreon so it’s easy to see what the updates are and when…
