Re: Chickens Disappearing?

@coiler119 @CallMeSuperboy

If you neglect a chickens needs for too long they will leave. You get a notification that they feel neglected. After that you have about two sim hours to remedy the situation or they are gone.

  • @jpkarlsenbut how can that happen to a chick that just had hatched without any notification? just - hatch - gone ☹️ i was so sad bc to me it was a golden egg that hatched ☹️

    NEVERMIND! I've found my chick - somehow it got dropped into the house-inventory (i dunno why, but at least it's there)

    That’s not the problem, though, my rooster disappeared with NO notification. He was being taken care of as well as the rest of the chickens. There was no notification in the panel at all.

    If he decided to leave, or a fox got him, then the bug is not that a chicken left, but that the notifications aren’t showing up for why they’re leaving. (I know this isn’t a bug thread but it should be.)

    I have noticed that if it died there are no notification. I just happened to notice the grim reaper by one of my coops when one of my Roosters croaked.

  • omg thank you! that's where my rooster and chick were too! how strange!

  • @jpkarlsen

    Sure, but there are notifications leading up to that. I had other chickens die of old age and there were three or four notifications about old age approaching, and the rooster was the same age as the other chickens, and none of them died of old age until later. And like I said before, there’s no reason why this 1 rooster should have died of neglect when all the others were fine.

    And I saw a YouTuber’s bunny have a fight with a fox and they were notified about the bunny losing the fight and dying. So there should be, should it be a fox attack, notifications about losing the fight.

    There is some sort of bug here, and your slightly patronizing messages about it are not really helpful.

    I did have this problem once when I was living in the Fenwick town area and my chickens were not fenced in.  I couldn't find my rooster for three days and then I went to the bar and there was my rooster!  If you chickens were not fenced in look around the area to see if they are off on another lot.
