Re: Llamas on maps and some builds deleted

@coconutlime77 Have you removed your mods/cc ?

You might need to have to reload a backup if you saved the game this way.

  • I have not removed mods or cc. What if i want to keep my mods and cc in the game though?

    If i need to reload a backup, how would i do that? I've renamed one of my saved files to an earlier version and that didn't work either.

    This problem just started to happen when i moved the sims from my mac to my new pc laptop, could this be a part of the problem?

    @coconutlime77 Mods and CC get outdated with patches and wanting to keep broken mods will break your game. You need to check your mods/cc with every update to make sure they are all uptodate. You can of course use them but I don't recommend using the ones the ones that break your game.

    Moving over saves should not break your save. Are they still ok on your Mac ? Did you add any new mods/cc after moving over ?

  • The game is still on my mac and I tried to play it there and the same thing happened with the llamas on the map and my builds were gone. I haven’t downloaded any new mods/cc either.

    how do I check for broken mods and cc?

    @coconutlime77 First create a backup of your all your save you still have and then move the entire mods folder to your desktop and delete the localthumbcache file.

    Once you've done that, start the game and see if the same error occurs (it is possible that the saves are corrupted)

    If the error is gone though, you can use the 50/50 method to find out which mod is causing the issue: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Finding_Problem_Custom_Content to find the culprit
