Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

• Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
• Tray Folder
• Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
• Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
• Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
• ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
• Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

This exact thing is happening to me too! Beds are not placing down as well and that same notification appears on my screen.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It shows up when loading my game. All couches, beds and counters are gone. Leaving a lot made it happen.
What happens when the bug occurs? Couches, counters and beds are missing. Even Maxis items. And they can’t be placed. “Script call error” pops up.

Can’t place or see all counters, couches and beds. Even EA items will not place or show up. My mods never had to be enabled after the patch either. Tried it without mods/cc and it still does it. 

This issue is potentially related to a adult basemental mod

Symptoms

1. Furniture disappears on loading the game with the mod in
2. New furniture can't be placed as a script failed  error occurs

Things to be aware of

1. If you deleted your game with the furniture gone, it will stay gone. You need to reload a backup
2. The script error should go away once you removed the mod
3. Make sure to delete the localthumbcache file after removing the mod.

I can probably confirm this. I've been having the same issue with counters, beds and couches since the update today but I removed the Basemental Drugs mod and now they work fine again.

When i place beds a sofas, they disappear. I've put some screenshots in.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Load a saved game then play any existing household, some of the furniture will be missing, also happens when using build mode on the edit world. This happens on every lot and household in the game
What happens when the bug occurs? After loading the game and playing any household, some of the furniture like beds, cabinets, counters and sofas will be missing. The Sharing is caring NAP is not active and no kleptomaniac sims are there.
What do you expect to see? A fix so that the items won't disappear

Missing Items

I'm facing this issue too! When I opened my house, it told me "8 items have been removed" and I didn't even know what these items were. This happened after i downloaded the latest patch.

Besides this, I also face the issue of the open staircase (there's a separate topic for this).

Hope EA can work on this!

Broken furniture after update.

I'm having the same problem . This is happening with sofas and beds. The game says 'the script failed'. 

I'd like some help if possible.

What happens when the bug occurs? All my comfort furniture have been removed after last update, such as sofas and beds and kitchen counters. The game says 'the script failed'. All these furniture disappeared after the update. Sims can't sleep and can't sit. It's like there is no content of the furniture in the game folder.

I entered the house after update and just realised every furniture missing except decor and plumbing.

@crinrict I have, but when I disabled all the mods, the items still disappear, i've noticed that the items that always vanish are counters, beds and sofas in my game

As for the objects that are vanishing, those are all included in the game, most of them in the base game and no custom content objects were used

Somehow I think its ok now, I've tried repairing my game, but I did the repair game twice, as it did not work the first time, I'm still checking the other lots for missing items

Ever since this new update I am not able to place any furniture on lots. I keep getting an error message that says "Script Call Failed.

After the update I cannot place certain items such as beds, couches and counters.i keep getting a script failure message. Soon as you place the item down it disappears.

Stop updating your game if all it does is break things please. 

I usually have to update all script mods when a new update rolls out.
Make sure the other developers didn't put out a patch for the new Nov. update! ❤️
If all else fails, check the support discord for the script mods you installed.
