Re: [MOD RELATED] Can't assign rooms to different units

It seems to be just the lot I’m building on. I have a really large build which has like max items on it. It’s never been slow while building and I have not had any issues previously, I can select rooms no problem, and I can exit to manage worlds and back quickly with no issues but since installing for rent I can’t select any rooms and when I try to exit to manage worlds it gets stuck and refuses to go anywhere I have to force close the game. In fact once I load into that lot I can’t do anything anymore.  it completely broke my build.

@r41nb0wbr1t3 So, other lots are fine? During early access (which was an earlier build, not final version), there was definitely lag in Build mode once there were lots of units allocated. I found it worked better to do all my buildingand decorating as "Residential" and then switch to the new lot type and assign units last. (This was a 12-unit build) If you can replicate that level of lag with not mods on a unit that isn't using the cheat to add more than six units to a lot, it might a candidate for Bug Reports, or at least for Feedback.

That’s not my problem. My build was pre “for rent”. It was built with no cheats except move objects and with no mods installed. I built it and furnished decorated etc and it is all under plain residential. there is a lot of items on there but I had no issues building/playing or going in and out of it. Since downloading for rent it now crashes everything. I don’t even have to select rental for it to crash. I can go into it, click on one or 2 things and it crashes, try to exit and it crashes. Try to load it in another lot, it crashes.

@r41nb0wbr1t3 Have you tested without your Mods folder after deleting localthumbcache? (Sorry, lots of people today, and I've lost track.)

@r41nb0wbr1t3 Apologies if you've done this already -- it's very busy here and I can't recall all the details -- but have you done a clean Sims 4 folder and game repair?

    Yes done

    done some further testing today

I am having trouble going to manage worlds from certain lots. I get stuck on loading screen. Please note none of these are rental properties. Just regular residential. It’s just that this has all started since downloading for rent.

most properties are working fine and I can convert to rental. The cheat is also no problem. And also loading mods hasn’t caused any issues either. Just for some reason my large build has issues and some other properties cause crashes. I don’t know if it’s just certain items that may be causing the issue since for rent being installed so I may do some testing there.

@r41nb0wbr1t3 There's a non-zero chance that your solution is to reinstall the game. Let it then create a fresh folder, test a new save, and move your content back. I'm not sure why yours is so stuck that a game repair doesn't help!
