When I search under that wiki I only see results for sims 3, but I am using sims 4. Are tuning mods just regular mods? I don't think I have any regular mods left after deleting them all, only cc.
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@gr0mpy The method works the same way for Sims 4. It's not depending on the game.
Does it work if you remove everything and delete the localthumcache file ? (test on a backup of your save) The new update just happened and I can make my sims using custom content and I can buy a house but after it loads it says error cannot load game, I use mods and cc on a daily basis and I really would like it to work, if you know anything, let me know.

Could you fill out a bug report?
I'd also note that CC and mods - especially script mods - can break after a new update. I'd recommend trying the 50/50 method with your CC, and checking the download pages for your mods in case the modder has posted about known issues or a new version for a patch.

There is also a setting in the game options for automatically deactivating certain CC/mods upon an update - this might be a useful setting to avoid any bugs caused by CC and mod creators not having had a chance to update their content immediately or check for new issues when a new update comes out!
